The 2012/2013 World Airline Survey has closed

The World Airline Survey is conducted by SKYTRAX, the worlds leading, specialist aviation research organisation.  Operating since 1999, the survey is held in high esteem for its clarity of process, and the rigorously applied rules of complete independence.

Since 1999, the SKYTRAX World Airline Awards have been known as "the Passenger's Choice Awards", bringing an unprecedented level of integrity, independence and trust to Quality Recognition across the world air travel industry. No membership fees, no survey entry costs, no sponsorship, no pay-to-attend award ceremony. With their unrivalled global coverage, it is easy to realise why some might try to copy them!

The annual Passenger's Choice Awards are decided by over 28 million air travellers, from more than 100 nationalities. The survey methodology is audited each year to ensure full transparency, and to guarantee maximum integrity to winners of the Passenger's Choice Awards. In the 2010 Passenger's Choice Award results, over 215 airlines and 207 airports across the globe were voted for by air travellers, underlining the established reputation as the world's largest passenger studies.

The Awards are recognised around the world, and renowned for being the only truly global, Independent passenger survey of airline standards. The survey does not receive any outside or third-party sponsorship, with all funding to cover survey costs coming from the Research Division of SKYTRAX.

The World Airline Awards have gained worldwide esteem and respect through the strict adherence to the original Survey purpose that was drawn up by SKYTRAX back in 1998 - to conduct studies that offered a global coverage, and to publish results without recourse to any hidden agendas or seeking commercial gain via award ceremonies etc.

SKYTRAX guarantee total transparency across the World Airline Survey process, and the resulting awards operate on a not-for-profit basis - allowing real customers to make their own, honest choices as to which airlines they consider to be best,and worthy of an award. This is why the results are known as the Passengers Choice Awards.

Airlines do NOT subscribe to be included in the survey, there is NO membership criteria, and NO charge for winners to attend the World Airline Awards ceremony. To reinforce this, we guarantee the complete independence and clarity of survey and awards process and do not accept any third party sponsorship.
